James Heu

James comes to the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point from Western Wyoming Community College where he served as the Director of Financial Aid.  Before that he was an Assistant Director at Crown College.  He has spent all his higher education time in the realm of financial aid which spans eight years.  He has worked for many institutions from the likes of for profit, four year private, two year public, and now will be working for four year public institution at UWSP.  He has a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, a master’s degree in Higher Education Leadership from Capella University.  He has been involved with DEI committees at both Anoka Ramsey Community College and Western Wyoming Community College.  He has also been a member of the regional Rocky Mountain Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators’ DEI committee regarding financial aid.  In his free time, he enjoys nature, hiking, sports, and spending time with family.  He looks forward to being part of the DCA family and the university at large.
