Gregory Gunderson

BIO

Gregory Gunderson is originally from Wisconsin. Before coming to UW-Stevens Point he taught for many years at Central Missouri State University and Eastern Kentucky University, where he won numerous teaching awards. Dr. Gunderson’s research has focused on women in the military, war crimes, rape in warfare, and the Ukraine. He has co-authored (with Sara Zeigler) Moving Beyond G.I. Jane: Women and the U.S. Military. He has also authored several articles in peer-reviewed journals on compensation for war crimes and immigration in Ukraine.

Gunderson is an avid movie buff, having a personal collection of over 700 films. His favorites include science fiction and, because he is a bit of a snob, foreign films.
