The WEEB is seeking indiviudals to serve a three year term beginning July 1, 2011 and ending June 30, 2014.
The WEEB is seeking an indiviudal to complete the remainder of a three year term which ends June 30, 2012. 
The 48 projects, worth more than $504,000, comprise both statewide and grass roots initiatives. Awards were made in three categories: general environmental education, forestry education, and school forest education.

The board is seeking proposals from K-12 Technology and Engineering (Tech. Ed.) teachers and Family and Consumer Science (FCS) teachers to be used to purchase energy-related resources and services and to support professional development experiences in energy education.

  • Education Committee provides overall coordination for the EE2010 goals dealing with environmental education in the PreK-12 schools, institutions of higher education and non-formal educational facilities.
  • Leadership Committee provides overall coordination for the EE2010 goals dealing with cooperation and communication within the environmental education community and promotion of environmental education to additional individuals and institutions.
  • Research Committee provides overall coordination for the EE2010 goals dealing with developing and pursuing a research and evaluation agenda for environmental education.

 

2/2/2007 Due to the tremendous response in the general grant category (73 proposals vs. 48 last year), the WEEB is still seeking individuals to serve as reviewers. If interested please contact the WEEB office and/or complete an application form.

 

1/31/07: The WEEB has restructured itself so that three seats will come open each year rather than 4 seats, 3 seats and 2 seats. The cohorts are now:

  • Business and Industry, Energy Industry and Nature Centers/Museums/Zoos: June 30, 2007
  • Environmental Educators, Forestry and Higher Education: June 30, 2008
  • Agriculture, Environmental Organizations and Labor: June 30, 2009
