The mission of the University Honors Program is to foster intellectual curiosity and academically prepare high-achieving students to engage in unique educational experiences, in and outside the classroom, across a wide-ranging curriculum in preparation for life-long learning. The University Honors Program allows students to complete their General Education Program (GEP) with more academically rigorous courses and engage in research, experiential learning and participate in honors internships as they move into their major areas of study. Students will participate in undergraduate scholarly and creative activity in the student’s major area of study and a culminating honors enriching experience in the student’s final year of academic study. Some benefits to students in the University Honors Program include specialized advising, priority course registration, housing and Student Affairs programming are also a part of the University Honors Program.
To be in the University Honors Program is to join a distinguished group of students and faculty and staff on campus to create a unique undergraduate educational opportunity and prepare you for the next step in your education or career development. We are all committed to helping you further your academic success.
With best wishes,
