In light of Division III Week in the NCAA, UW-Stevens Point hosted its first-ever event, “Horsin’ Around with the Pointers”, where student-athletes and Special Olympics athletes were able to bond over the sports they love.
“I had so much fun,” Special Olympics athlete Marissa Sopa said.
It was a day filled with something for everyone.
“Everything from tossing the football, playing hockey and playing basketball,” Pointers Linebacker Michael Stephenson said. “It’s a good time and it’s really cool to give back to the community.”
