Sue Poeschel said every performance of the Wisconsin Extreme Dream Team has brought audience members to their feet in applause.
Poeschel always is struck after those performances, she said, by the faces of the special-needs athletes who make up the cheerleading team she helped start four years ago. After her own gym, Wisconsin Extreme, closed last year, Poeschel found a new home for the team at Storm Elite All Stars, a competitive cheer and dance team opened by Branka Dudas in 2012.
