Students in Stevens Point are getting up close and personal with Mother Nature.
An internationally acclaimed environmental sculptor is working with roughly 100 UW-Stevens Point students to create a work of art. The sculpture, made entirely of maple, willow and dogwood saplings, is still in the beginning stages. Students say it will take about three weeks to build.
Throughout this experience, students will work closely with acclaimed sculptor Patrick Dougherty. Dougherty has been all over the world building environmental sculptures.
