UW-Stevens Point Chancellor Bernie Patterson and the directors of the UW-Stevens Point Foundation are pleased to announce the acquisition of the Newman Center property, located at the corner of Reserve Street and Fourth Avenue in Stevens Point.
"The purchase of this facility adds a dimension to the foundation's traditional support for student scholarships, programs, and endowments," said Peter Crawford, UW-Stevens Point Foundation president. The location of the property in the heart of the campus presented a unique opportunity. Through the generosity of a group of donors, the foundation expects to support university recruitment and retention efforts by supplying space that will enhance the admissions experience.
