The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point will host Irish band Gaelic Storm and Grammy Award-winning country singer John Berry on campus this March.

Gaelic Storm will perform at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, in the Laird Room of the Dreyfus University Center, 1015 Reserve St., Stevens Point. The concert is sponsored by UW-Stevens Point Centertainment Productions and the Alternative Concert Group.

Gaelic Storm has performed more than 200 times a year for more than two decades, winning fans with their lively stage shows and blend of Celtic traditions and rock music. They have been first on the Billboard World Chart seven times.

The group appeared in the film "Titanic," performing Irish jigs as the steerage band. They have released 13 albums, most recently "One for the Road" in September 2021. Learn more at www.gaelicstorm.com.

Berry will perform "An Intimate Evening of Stories and Songs" at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 11, at the Laird Room in the Dreyfus University Center, 1015 Reserve St., Stevens Point. The concert is sponsored by UW-Stevens Point Campus Activities and Student Engagement and the Alternative Concert Group.

Berry has been a singer and songwriter for 40 years. His most recent single, "The Richest Man," is from his newest album, "Thomas Road." In the 90s and early 2000s, Berry placed 20 singles on the country charts, six of which were in the top five. "Your Love Amazes Me" was first on the Billboard and Radio and Records Country Chart, and "Standing on the Edge of Goodbye" and "She's Taken a Shine" earned No. 1 on Radio and Records.

He has earned multiple gold and platinum records over the years and won a Grammy Award in 1996 for his work in "Amazing Grace: A Country Salute to Gospel Vol. 1." Learn more at www.johnberry.com.
