Parking Lot Enforcement: UWSP Parking regulations are enforced year-round, even when classes are not in session. Student parking Lots J, P, Q, and W are open (free) when classes are not in session & finals week is over.

Everyone: faculty, staff, students & guests pay to park on campus: All vehicles parking on university property are charged user fees. Students and staff can purchase permits, and guest/visitor parking is available at the meters. Parking Services is a self-funded operation through permit sales and citations. Approximately 3,000 spaces are available on campus that regularly hosts 10,000 people; a diverse mix of students, faculty, staff and visitors. Space is distributed with parking permits, meters and pay stations. The significant parking demands on campus mean that purchase of a permit does not always guarantee a space. The university is not responsible for any damage to a vehicle operated or parked on campus. Student lots are located on the perimeter of campus and not close to classrooms. Student permits are sold on a first-come, first-served basis, until sales maximum is reached. New students can purchase a permit after orientation, registration and computer logon is activated.
Faculty/Staff Waitlist: Faculty/staff Waitlist sign-up available until August 1st. After lot assignments, based on "seniority-of-service at UWSP criteria" process completed in early August, parking permits for assigned lot will be available to purchase.
Guest/Temporary Permit: Students can purchase temporary parking permission for daily guest parking M-F, if space available, in Lots Q or W only, with guest vehicle license plate and lot notification in advance.
$6.00 per day/$24 per week for temporary permit paid in advance in the Parking Services office with cash/check only.
