Virtual Private Networking (VPN)

VPN stands for Virtual Private Networking

VPN adds a layer of encryption between your device and the network you connect to by routing traffic to that network through a secure tunnel.  For example, while connecting remotely to UWSP resources like restricted databases and systems, or accessing the internet from unsecure locations such as when using public Wifi available in a coffee shop or airport. VPN through UWSP provides this layer of encryption to you by routing your connection through the UWSP network.
