Needle Felting Details

The art of needle felting uses loose, clean, natural fibers in which you manipulate and pierce the fibers together with a barbed felting needle. Felting includes a variety of techniques and its applications are varied. It originated in ancient traditions of Scandinavia, Mongolia and other nomadic societies. The dense fiber takes on a life of its own as you will learn the basic felting skills to transform raw material into almost anything and make it come to life. It is free form, seamless, a matter of building form on top of form. Anyone can acquire the basic skills, but be warned; felting is highly addictive.
