Out of an abundance of caution due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Opioid Forum scheduled for May 5-7, 2020, has been postponed. Updates on this event will be posted on this webpage.

People interested in learning best practices to solve Wisconsin's Opioid Crisis are invited to join the Wisconsin Department of Health Services in Wisconsin Dells at the Kalahari Resort and Convention Center.

Registration Information 


Registration Fee: $85 per person

The registration fee includes the meals listed on the schedule.  All attendees must register.  No scholarships are available.  No discounts will be offered for people who do not plan to attend all three days.  Registration is expected to open soon.  Seats at this event are expected to be reserved quickly.  

Conference App


This event will be paperless. There is an app for attendees to download to access information and materials (handouts) for each session. Information about how to download and access the Whova conference app will be including in your registration confirmation email. If you have questions about the app, email the Division of Care and Treatment Services. 

Exhibitor Opportunities

Exhibitors are welcome at the 2020 Wisconsin Opioid Forum. 

$200 booth includes electricity and one complimentary conference registration.  Registration will re-open once the Opioid Forum has been rescheduled.

Continuing Education Hours (CEHs)​


Continuing Education Hours are a measure of participation in continuing education programs. A 2-ply certificate of completion form will be in your registration folder when you arrive at the conference and will be your
proof of attendance and continuing education hours. No additional
certificate will be sent after conference. It is your responsibility to report your hours earned to your appropriate credential or licensing board. 

The 2020 Opioid Forum will be applying for Continuing Education Hours approved by the National Association of Social Workers, Wisconsin Chapter. 

Lodging Information​


If you have already made a reservation at the Kalahari, you will need to CANCEL your room reservation.

A room block will be available at the Kalahari Resort and Convention Center.  More information coming soon. 

Please make your lodging reservation early to secure the single occupancy rate of $82 or double or quadruple occupancy rate of $129.  A one-night deposit is required at the time of reservation.  

Hotel rates are subject to applicable state and local tax unless a S211 form is presented at check-in.

Cancellation Policy 


Full refund granted upon receipt of written request to uwspce-conf@uwsp.edu by Friday, April 17, 2020. Cancelling your hotel room does not cancel your conference registration. You will need to contact UWSP Continuing Education to make the cancellation. Refunds requested between Saturday, April 17, 2020 and Friday, April 24, 2020 will be assessed to the $25 processing fee. No refunds will be given after Friday, April 24, 2020. 

Substitutions can be made at any time, but no shows will be responsible for full conference fee. Last minute registrations cannot be guaranteed meals or materials.
