Treehaven Endowment

Lifelong learning can be sparked by a bird class or a field trip in the fourth grade.  Building the endowment will ensure that the Treehaven experience will be available for generations to come.  Gifts to the endowment are permanently invested to provide a continuing source of income, generated from yearly interest. Endowment gifts are truly those that keep on giving.

Recent endowment-funded projects include:

  • Year-round support of student and faculty research.

  • Purchase of educational equipment for youth programs.

  • A 9,500 square foot garden was constructed in 2017 to provide education in sustainability and healthy living.

Gifts to support Treehaven may be made to the UWSP Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation.  Naming opportunities are available for all or portions of Treehaven structures and facilities.

Future Goals

In today's increasingly urbanized world, connecting people to the natural environment is more important than ever.  Expanding Treehaven's capacity to appropriately serve this growing need is critical.  Treehaven seeks to expand its reach and impact by providing more education and research opportunities through expanded facilities, including a larger dining room and elevator, and expanded programming with a fulltime educator.  Your support of Treehaven will assure that high quality environmental education and experiences will touch the lives of more people, from school child to retiree, for years to come.

Future Treehaven projects include:

ORGANIC, SUSTAINABLE GARDEN EDUCATION

Expanding the educational capabilities of Treehaven's 9,500 square foot garden by integrating it into Treehaven's food service program, school programs, volunteer program, and summer field experience, once the garden has been installed by Fall of 2017.
