Community Biking

Schmeeckle Reserve

Schmeeckle Reserve is just a 3-minute ride from the residence halls on campus. There are over 5 miles of trail within the Reserve that can be ridden on. Most of the trails are covered in bark mulch but the Green Circle Trail crosses through the northern part of the Reserve and is made of crushed granite. The Granite Parkway trail is also made of crushed granite and leads from campus right off Reserve Street at Maria Drive and meets up with the Green Circle Trail.

Green Circle Trail

The Green Circle is a 27-mile scenic hiking and biking trail that loops through the Stevens Point area and connects with over 45 miles of additional trails. It winds through forests and parks, over wetlands, and along rivers, recalling the days of huge pineries, pioneer settlements, and the lore of the Wisconsin and Plover Rivers. The headquarters is located at Schmeeckle Reserve.

Standing Rocks Park

Standing Rocks Park is a great mountain biking location for the UWSP community. There are 10 miles of ski trails that are open May 1 to November 16 for biking and 13 miles of additional single-track routes of various skill levels have been created.
