Through his first five professional baseball seasons, when October rolled around, Jordan Zimmermann’s thoughts usually turned to deer hunting and the upcoming ice fishing season.
The Auburndale native will have to put those plans on hold this fall because Zimmermann has something a little more important to worry about.
The former University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point standout will be busy trying to help the Washington Nationals win the first World Series in franchise history.
