Several colleges have their graduation ceremonies this weekend. One of them is the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point, where Chancellor Bernie Patterson says there are a few more caps and gowns on stage this year. “This year, we’re going to have 1,427 walking across the stage. It’s about where we were last year, I believe a couple of hundred more.”
Patterson says there has been strong interest programs for several programs, including health care fields, and specific science fields. “We have, I think, the full range of degrees represented . Our largest college is the College of Letters and Sciences, and they’re going to have almost 500 students graduating from that college.”
