UW-Stevens Point would lose 25% of state aid under Gov. Scott Walker's proposed UW budget cuts

Gov. Scott Walker's budget would cut state funding for the UW System's budget by 13%.  

That would add up to $300 million. 

It would help solve a projected budget shortfall, but UW administrators worry about how the cuts would affect universities. 

UW-Stevens Point would lose 25% of its state aid if the cuts are approved. 

That would be more than $9 million.
