The UW system is giving out free photo identification cards to students who don't have a government issued ID. This, after Wisconsin's voter ID law was reinstated.
The law means voters must present photo identification at the November election. UW system leaders say they started the process of giving out the photo ID's a few years ago. They say they hope the new ID's will inspire students to get out and vote.
