UWSP professor studies nanomagnetics over summer

Editor's note: This is the first story in an occasional Stevens Point Journal Media series titled "How I Spent My Summer Vacation," which tells stories of University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point students and staff members and the fascinating work they did over summer break.​

University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point professor spent his summer working with magnets so small they can be seen only with a microscope but that hold the key to expanding the capabilities of computers.

Physics professor Palash Banerjee, whose background is in magnetics, worked with students to build an interferometer, which allows for the study of tiny structures called nanomagnets.
