University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point officials hope a high-quality fine art paper produced on campus soon will be used by artists across the country.

RiverPoint Paper, which has been made at UWSP since 2012, is the result of a collaboration among the paper engineering and science and fine arts departments, as well as the Wisconsin Institute for Sustainable Technology. The idea started around 2010 when UWSP printmaking professor Bob Erickson approached other faculty members to find out whether the university’s paper machine could make a product similar to art paper imported from Europe.
