Student promotes Greenest Resident Room in newly remodeled Knutzen Hall

Samantha Martinez takes environmentalism seriously, from the compost bin in her dorm room at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point to the personal hygiene products she makes, such as a face scrub from cinnamon and oatmeal and mouthwash from clove, cinnamon and hot water.

She’s in the perfect place for that kind of dedication: Knutzen Hall, the designated eco hall on campus. She’s also the perfect choice to live in the Greenest Resident Room, which is used to demonstrate how students and the community can live an environmentally friendly lifestyle.​
