When Essy Brown wanted to go back to school, she visited the admissions office at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point to look for a new career path.
She knew she didn't want to go into accounting or education. The office staff told her about the clinical laboratory science degree.
"I hadn't even heard of it," Brown said. "I looked more into it, looked at what it entailed. It appealed to me, so I decided to do that."
Brown will graduate this month with her Bachelor's degree prepared for a career in health care. She is already employed as a medical technologist at Riverview Hospital and can start work the day she finishes her clinical requirements.
