It’s Thanksgiving week, and a good time to reflect on the many reasons I’m thankful.
I’m grateful for this community. Anyone who doubts the generosity and sincerity of those who live and work here need look no further than United Way of Portage County, which ranks No. 1 in Wisconsin for per capita giving. This community steps up when others are in need.
I’m grateful for the exceptional work ethic of faculty and staff members at UW-Stevens Point. They serve tirelessly, not for high salaries, but because they believe in what we’re doing: providing top quality, accessible education at an affordable cost and helping students succeed.
