Bringing insight into the trans community and gender issues, a weeklong series of programs will be offered March 28-April 1 at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point through the Office of Diversity and College Access.

The programs are free and open to the public from 6-8 p.m. each evening. The programs include:

  • Monday, March 28 – Sensitivity Training, Laird Room, Dreyfus University Center

  • Tuesday, March 29 – Questions and Answers, Laird Room, Dreyfus University Center

  • Wednesday, March 30 – Stars Project, Room 228, College of Professional Studies.  This interactive workshop gives individuals the opportunity to walk in another person’s shoes for the evening.

  • Thursday, March 31 – Non-binary Gender Training, Room 228, College of Professional Studies

  • Friday, April 1 – Stories, Alumni Room, Dreyfus University Center

The series is aimed at educating members of the community about gender differences, said Lyn Ciurro, a student representative for Diversity and College Access. “Come with an open mind, and without biases,” Ciurro said, “as this is the best way to learn.”
