Inspired by Schmeeckle Reserve at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point?
Share your writing, art or photography of the nature area as part of a
contest hosted by the Friends of Schmeeckle Reserve.
Submissions must be accompanied
by a 75-100 word statement describing how the entry was inspired by time spent
in Schmeeckle Reserve. All ages may participate. Submit work by Saturday, Nov.
1.
Contest submissions will be
posted on the Friends website and the winning entries will be displayed in the
Visitor’s Center. First-place winners will receive a $25 gift certificate to
the Browse Shop at the Visitor’s Center. First- and second-place winners
in each category will be honored at a Friends’ board

The Friends of Schmeeckle Reserve
group provides community support for the reserve through educational programs,
outreach, land management and acquisition and fundraising. Memberships are
available for students, individuals, families and corporations. For more
