​We offer FREE group tutoring for many math and science classes. Groups are a great way to discuss, practice, and review course content with your classmates facilitated by an experienced tutor who has done well in the course. Attendance is flexible, but consistency is best. Limited attendance may result in the cancellation of group sessions, so please make the best use of this fantastic resource by coming early and often!​

​For Faculty: Interested in Having a Group Tutor?

The TLC hires and trains group tutors for STEM courses based on recommendations and interest from faculty. 

  • The TLC pays group tutors one hour to prepare for each weekly session and one hour to facilitate each weekly session.

  • Group tutors must regularly attend TLC training and keep accurate records of sessions.​

  • The TLC hires group tutors one semester in advance

  • Faculty with group tutors must promote the service within their classes to ensure participation

  • If you are interested in having a group tutor and willing to promote it in your classes, please complete this form​.

Group Tutoring Cancellations

If sessions have less than 3 students per session starting Week 4 for 2 weeks in a row, the session is canceled.
