​Mission

The mission of the Women's & Gender Studies Program at UWSP is to raise awareness of issues of gender and gender inequality, as well as to improve our understanding of women's lives. The undergraduate minor program provides students with an interdisciplinary perspective in understanding the social and cultural constructions of gender that shape the experiences of women and men in society.
