Minor Requirements

Students complete an introductory course in Environmental History and a capstone experience in Literature and Ecology. In between, they choose environmental courses from geography, anthropology, philosophy, and other fields.
Consists of 24 credits:
  1. Introduction to Environmental Studies
    HIST 280
  2. Sustainability, 9 credits:
    1. Ecology: at least 3 credits from
      GEOG 101, NRES 150, NRES 200, BIOL 305
    2. Economy and Environment: 3 credits from
      GEOG 113, GEOG 120, GEOG 340, HIST 204, NRES 220
    3. Environmental Justice: 3 credits from
      ANTH 125, ANTH 345, ANTH 339, EDUC 305, ENGL 280, FOR 392, HIST 301, HIST 342, HIST 392, PHIL 351, PHIL 381
  3. Environmental Humanities and Social Sciences 9 additional credits from any courses listed above or:
