WHAT CHOIRS DO WE HAVE TO OFFER AT UWSP?
PLEASE NOTE: All choirs are open to ALL University students, regardless of major.
CONCERT CHOIR
This Choir rehearses five days a week for 50 minutes per day, from 11-11:50 a.m. The group averages from 34-38 singers. Members of the choir are expected to work on the music outside of rehearsals and to spend extra time memorizing the music.
CHORAL UNION
Choral Union rehearses as an SATB choir twice a week - on Mondays and Thursdays, from 1-1:50 p.m. The men's section has a sectional rehearsal on Tuesdays and the women's section has their sectional on Wednesdays (both at the same 1-1:50 hour). This choir averages from 75-90 singers.
WOMEN'S CHOIR
The Women's Choir rehearses twice a week - Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-4:50 p.m. Average enrollment is 40-50 singers.
AUDITIONS WILL BE HELD DURING THE FIRST WEEK OF CLASS IN THE FALL SEMESTER. PLEASE SIGN UP ON THE BULLETIN BOARD OPPOSITE NOEL FINE ARTS CENTER, ROOM 250 - THE CHORAL ROOM.
