Travel, lodging and area information

The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point is conveniently located a 25-minute drive from Central Wisconsin Airport. Major highways serving Stevens Point are Interstate 39/U.S. 51 north/south and U.S. 10 east/west.

We have blocked a limited number of rooms at a hotel convenient to the university for the night of October 21, ahead of the conference. Country Inn and Suites: Call the inn directly at 715-345-7000 to book and reference Focal Point 2020 to receive a rate of $129 plus tax. Reservations must be made by Sept. 20 to receive the conference rate.

Continuing Education Units

Registration Cancellation Policy 

If you must cancel your conference registration, notify WIST in writing via email at wist@uwsp.edu prior to the conference date. We will refund according to the following scale: 100 percent refund if notice is received by September 25; 50 percent refund if notice is received after September 25 but by October 12; no refund will be issued for notice received 10 business days or less prior to class start date. Substitutions, in which the conference registration fee is applied to a different WIST event or course, will be accepted at any time without penalty.
