Compostability Testing
WIST’s testing protocols have been recognized by ANAB to meet the testing requirement for ISO/IEC 17025.
WIST’s competencies include recognition from DIN CERTCO, certifying test results that are in accordance with the procedures outlined by DIN CERTCO.
WIST has been identified as an independent laboratory to conduct testing for BPI Certification.
WIST has been recognized for meeting standards for total fluorine analysis. Total fluorine (TF) analysis is required for approval by Compost Manufacturing Alliance and to determine if food service packaging meets any local requirements for fluorine content.
Repulpability and Recyclability Testing
WIST is recognized for its testing protocols by the How2Recycle program.
WIST’s testing protocols have been recognized by AFPA to meet the Voluntary Standard test protocols to evaluate the repulpability and recyclability of coated or treated corrugated board and its equivalents.
WIST’s testing protocols are recognized by the FBA in ensuring that fiber coming into a mill has acceptable fiber yield and that quality of fiber does not cause papermaking issues. The method tests Part 1 repulpability and Part 2 recyclability.
