Applied High School Curriculum<\/h3>

The Wisconsin Forestry Center at UW-Stevens Point coordinates the Wisconsin Forestry Careers Coalition (WFCC) to address the urgent need for skilled workers in the forestry industry. Applied high school curriculum developed as part of the WFCC prepares high school juniors and seniors with the knowledge and skills needed for forestry careers. Students who complete the curriculum will be better prepared to enter the workforce in entry-level forestry positions, enroll in WFCC immersion training programs in mill technology<\/a> or forest operations<\/a>, or continue their education at technical schools or UW-Stevens Point.<\/p>\n

The WFCC is happy to announce that the newly developed forestry skills curriculum is now available for teachers. We are looking for schools to participate in a Forestry Career Interest Study. If you are interested in participating in the study, contact Jared Schroeder<\/a>, High School Curriculum Program Manager.<\/p><\/div>
