Applied high school curriculum developed as part of the WFCC prepares high school juniors and seniors with the knowledge and skills needed for forestry careers. Students who complete the curriculum will be better prepared to enter the workforce in entry-level forestry positions, enroll in WFCC immersion training programs in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uwsp.edu\/wfc\/wisconsin-forestry-center\/wfcc\/mill-technology\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">mill technology<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uwsp.edu\/wfc\/wisconsin-forestry-center\/wfcc\/forest-operations\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">forest operations<\/a>, or continue their education at technical schools or UW-Stevens Point.<\/p>\n<p>The WFCC is happy to announce that the newly developed forestry skills curriculum is now available for teachers. We are looking for schools to participate in a Forestry Career Interest Study. Within the modules, activities can scale based on the needs of the students, from foundational knowledge to more complex applied concepts.
