Woods, Wellness, and Where We Play

More Than Just Products

Forests support far more than wood products—they are at the heart of Wisconsin’s outdoor culture and rural economy. Explore how healthy forests sustain everything from adventure tourism to local businesses, and why managing these forests means supporting jobs, lifestyles, and year-round recreation across the state.

Join us to explore and celebrate:

  • The innovative ways classrooms are shaping the manufacturing and use of forest products.
  • The emotional, spiritual, scientific, and cultural value of forests beyond timber.
  • How forests can be powerful tools for improving overall health and well-being.

Wisconsin Science Festival

Oct. 16-26, 2025

The Wisconsin Science Festival aims to inspire and engage us in the enterprise of science and discovery, to cultivate curiosity, and to communicate the power of knowledge and creativity to change our worldview. The science festival serves as a unique platform promoting collaborative innovation to enrich the next generation of global citizens and is presented by a growing coalition of the science and arts communities from across Wisconsin.

In 2025, in celebration of the 15th year of the Wisconsin Science Festival, we are excited to feature Rock and Roll. This year, we are looking at music, motion, the geology that shapes Wisconsin, and all the ways in which these topics show up in science, technology, engineering, art, and math.
