Discover D.C. through expert-led exploration of Capitol Hill, the memorials and topical issues. Take in the beauty and visit three Smithsonian museums and a live show at a local theater! Madison – The Best of Our State’s Capital
Join UW-Stevens Point at Wausau Continuing Education and the Wisconsin Institute for Public Policy and Service (WIPPS), as we collaborate on a one-of-a-kind visit to our state’s capital. Stops include tours of the Wisconsin State Historical Society, the Overture Center, the University of Wisconsin- Madison, the State Capitol and a visit with a state legislator, luncheon the second day with a special guest and tour of the award-winning Capital Brewery. Trip includes transportation, overnight accommodations and majority of the meals. Due to the personalized experience this trip offers, space is limited.

Geology lecture, hike around Devils Lake and picnic lunch!
Join us for an educational lecture, adventurous hike around Devils Lake State Park and picnic lunch. A Geology lecture about the unique and beautiful area of the state park will be held on the Wausau campus on Wed., May 1. Hikers to Devils Lake State Park will depart from the Wausau campus at 7 a.m. on Wed., May 15. A simple lunch will be provided. Note: The hike involves vigorous hiking, including up and down a steep hill.
