We Provide:

  • Individualized, professional academic support, with dedicated staff for math and writing classes;

  • Study skills coaching and advice about how to approach courses;

  • A comfortable and friendly place to get help with your classes.


​To be eligible for DUO, students should meet one of the following criteria:

  • Be a first-generation college student (neither parent has obtained a four-year degree)
  • Meet certain income requirements (eligible for a Pell grant through financial aid)
  • Have a documented learning or physical disability.

DUO is not a one-size-fits-all program. We work with each individual student to provide the support and information they need to be successful at UW-Stevens Point at Wausau, toward successfully completing their bachelor's degree.
