As Wisconsinites get ready to watch the solar eclipse, UW-Stevens Point graduates and students are heading to Wyoming for the phenomenon.

Four research teams will start making their way to Wyoming Friday. Even thought the eclipse isn't until Monday, the groups are getting a head start to prepare.

The teams will start recording data 15 minutes before the eclipse. They will perform experiments and conduct research while they watch the it. The teams will look at the solar eclipse itself and how the surrounding wildlife changes during it, like bats and birds.
