It's understandable that those traveling after the recent terrorist attacks in Paris, may be on heightened alert, but for those already abroad, their concerns are slightly different. A group of students from UW-Stevens Point has been studying in London since the end of August, and the attacks in Paris are making them more alert, but are not stopping them from the experience.
Anne Kamstra is studying abroad in London for the fall semester of her senior year at UW-Stevens Point, but like many students overseas, she explores other countries. That was the case last weekend.
"I was actually in the Netherlands. I took a trip to see some of my family," Kamstra said.
She learned what happened in Paris Saturday morning.
