More than 300 students and community members gathered for a dinner of soul food Sunday night in celebration of Black History Month.
The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point's Black Student Union sponsored its 22nd annual Soul Food Dinner at the Dreyfus University Center, inviting the Portage County community to enjoy a dinner with a Mardis Gras theme and learn more about black history and culture. After a buffet-style dinner including jerk chicken, fried catfish, collard greens and macaroni and cheese, guests heard from scheduled speakers.
