HR professionals must be life-long learners

Dynamic, fast-paced and ever-evolving aren't exactly the first adjectives that come to mind when one thinks about human resources.

But they should, say Wisconsin human resources professionals, educators and business experts. The field offers people-oriented workers opportunities to enhance their own careers while also helping businesses thrive and workers find their professional niches.

"I think there are numerous opportunities in the HR field because of the many facets the field offers," said Tina Lamb, the associate dean of the Business Division of Mid-State Technical College. "Baby boomers are retiring in droves, and that means job security for the people who have the responsibility of replacing those retirees."
