The celebrated adaptation by Charles Jones of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” returns to the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center in Appleton at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. It’s one of 21 stops for the Nebraska Theatre Caravan, which is celebrating 35 years of putting on the show.

For actress Elizabeth McMonagle, who plays Belle, “A Christmas Carol” is a wonderful excuse to come back home. She’s from De Pere, attended high school at Notre Dame Academy in Green Bay and graduated in 2010 with a bachelor of fine arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
