The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point offers its
students a quality education at a great value, according to Washington Monthly
magazine.
The magazine’s 2015 “Best Bang for the Buck” college
rankings place UW-Stevens Point 20th out of more than 400 schools in
the Midwest. The scores are based on graduation rate, loan default rate, net tuition
price and number of Pell Grant recipients.
UW-Stevens Point was fourth out of the 34 ranked public
and private colleges and universities in the state.
“Students find value in their experiences and in
themselves at UW-Stevens Point,” said Chancellor Bernie Patterson. “While we
have one of the most affordable price tags in the UW System, we are also proud
of our close-knit community and opportunities in undergraduate research and
service-learning.”
Established in 1894, UW-Stevens Point is located on a
400-acre campus in Central Wisconsin. More than 200 student organizations, a
275-acre nature reserve and world-class arts opportunities attract
approximately 9,000 students to enroll at the university each year. UW-Stevens
Point has been recognized by the Princeton Review, Tree Campus USA and U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency for its sustainable practices.
