Text Rental is where University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point students rent (cost-free!) and return their classroom textbooks, without having to purchase them!

What do I need to pick up my rental textbooks?
A valid Point Card is required for pickup.
Where do I pick up my rental textbooks?
Students who live locally, live in the residence halls, or are enrolled in at least one UWSP Stevens Point on-campus course must pick up their rental textbooks at the University Store in Stevens Point.
Will my rental textbooks be shipped to me?
Rental textbooks will be shipped only to students who are taking online-only courses, and do not live in Stevens Point. Books will be shipped to the address listed in accesSPoint.
Do I need to place an order for my rental textbooks?
No. Students are no longer required to initiate rental textbook orders. Rental textbooks will be provided automatically based on course enrollment.
Do I need to update my address?
Yes. If your books will be shipped, please verify that your local address in accesSPoint is correct by August 12, 2026.
How do I purchase supplemental textbooks?
Supplemental textbooks can be purchased through the University Store website: uwsp.studentstore.com or in person.
What delivery options are available for supplemental textbooks?
Students may choose shipping (shipping charges apply) or In-Store Pickup.
Can supplemental textbook orders be shipped to campus housing?
No. The University Store cannot ship orders to campus housing. Students living on campus should: Select In-Store Pickup, or provide an alternate shipping address.
Where do I pick up an in-store order?
All in-store pickup orders must be picked up at the University Store in the Dreyfus University Center.

MARSHFIELD AND WAUSAU (TEXT RENTAL FAQ)
How will I receive my rental textbooks?
Students attending the Marshfield and Wausau campuses will have their rental textbooks delivered to their home campus for distribution. Please watch the Message of the Day during the week of August 24 for specific pickup dates, times, and locations.
What if I register late or add a class after textbooks have been shipped to the campuses?
If you register late or add a course after the campus shipment has been sent, your rental textbooks will be shipped to the local address listed in accesSPoint.
I am a branch campus student but live in Stevens Point or have classes in Stevens Point. Where do I get my books?
Branch campus students who live in Stevens Point or have an in-person course at the Stevens Point campus are expected to pick up their rental textbooks at the University Store in Stevens Point.
Is there a shipping fee for rental textbooks?
No. Shipping fees have been eliminated for rental textbooks.
Do I need to update my address?
Yes. Please ensure your local address in accesSPoint is up to date by three weeks before classes start, especially if you may need books shipped directly to you.

Pickup dates, times, and locations will be communicated through the Message of the Day and email. Be sure to check it regularly.

What if I lose by textbook?
Report lost rental books to the Text Rental desk. Each book is uniquely numbered, allowing us to check it back in to the student that rented it if the lost book is found and returned. If the book is not returned by the last day of your finals, you will be billed for it, plus tax and assessed a $10 processing fee.
Do graduate students pay rental fees?
Graduate students enrolled in slash courses are assessed text rental fees and are therefore eligible to rent their books for those courses. Courses that are strictly offered to graduate level students are not assessed text rental fees, and students in those courses are not eligible to obtain their books through text rental.
