Monday marks the end of an era at UW-Stevens Point. Chancellor Bernie Patterson is retiring.
The familiar face on the UWSP campus is calling it a decade. On his last day, Patterson reflected on some of his favorite parts of his time leading the school.
“I can’t express the pride I have, in this campus, in this university, in our faculty, in our staff, our students, in our alumni it’s amazing, just amazing,” he said, getting choked up.
Patterson has served as the university’s chancellor since 2010. He’s seen new faces, new programs like the MBA added and new buildings go up.
