UW-Stevens Point had 600 students complete their degrees this semester. The winter commencement was held in the Multi-Activity Center on the Stevens Point Campus.
Of the 600 students, seven conferred associate degrees, 567 conferred bachelor degrees, 26 conferred master degrees.
"Graduation day is a joyous occasion," said Dean of College of Natural Resources Christine Thomas.
"Students have worked hard, they've made it. In our case, more than forty percent of the students that'll walk across the stage today are first generation college students, and that means that their parents, and grand parents, and sisters and brothers and kids out there in the audience have never seen this before in their family. So this is a very exciting day," she said.
