The capital campaign to support initiatives at UW-Stevens Point has reached $40.5 million Chancellor Bernie Patterson announced Tuesday, topping the campaign's original goal by more than $10 million.

The "Then, Now & Forever - We Are Point" started privately in 2013 and went public in 2016 with a stated goal of $30 million.

According to Patterson the campaign was established to support the university's strategic objectives, create scholarship endowments and initiatives for new programs.

"The fact that we have exceeded our goal by more than $10 million speaks volumes about the endorsement this community has for what this university is doing. Our alumni, our community members, our faculty, our staff, our students have all had a hand in this," said Patterson.
