A weekend filled with excitement as the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (UWSP) celebrates 125 years worth of milestones.

As part of the university’s  huge celebration, they highlighted education, alumni, community partners and Pointer spirit.

Family, friends, students and alumni packed the stadium to cheer on the Pointers as they take on the Warhawks.

“Homecoming is maybe the most exciting time of the year,” said UWSP Chancellor, Bernie Patterson.

Three distinguished alumni were honored during the Pointer Gala.

One of them, Cheryl Schreier, is thrilled to be back on campus and accepting an award. “It’s very humbling I’m very honored and it’s also very exciting,” said Schreier.

Not only did UWSP honor their alumni, Director of Alumni Affairs, Laura Gehrman Rottier said, “we are celebrating the Pointer spirit then now and forever, we are Point.”
