Former UWSP Student, Alex Reeder, is being remembered through a walk/run that will raise money for a scholarship.
"Alex Reeder was a senior cadet with the UW-Steven Point ROTC program who died in a motorcycle accident in 2014, so his family and fellow cadets established the memorial scholarship in his honor," explained ROTC Cadet Cole Irish. "He was from Wisconsin Rapids, and he was a jovial and well liked cadet in the program."
Missed, but never forgotten, Reeder is now remembered through the 'Reeder's Ruck and Run' which helps to raise money for that memorial scholarship.
This run is a little different than normal runs, because participants will have the option to wear a 35 pound rucksack on their backs while completing the event.
