The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point opened its doors last week to more than 1,500 new students who are taking their first big step into adult life, but many are finding that UWSP is much more than a place to study — it’s a place they call home.
The students, who moved in Aug. 29, have begun learning the lay of the campus and the city, finding their favorite places to eat and building new friendships.
Freshman and Waunakee resident Whitney Ninedorf said her father attended UWSP. Ninedorf said her father thought she would like it, too.
