The Door County Coastal Byway Council will officially unveil Oct. 31 the eight "experience hub" kiosks that are currently being constructed along the byway route.

The completion was announced in a press release by Sam Perlman, economic development manager of the Door County Economic Development Corp. The unique kiosks, designed by Schmeeckle Reserve Interpreters, describe the cultural, historic and environmental highlights of the distinctive communities that make up the Door County Coastal Byway.

The first eight (out of an eventual 12) kiosks are located at the Door County Visitors Bureau and in the byway communities of Sevastopol, Village of Egg Harbor, Jacksonport, Baileys Harbor and Liberty Grove. Four additional kiosks will be constructed in the coming months in Gibraltar, Sister Bay and the Village of Egg Harbor, and at the Grand View Scenic Overlook near Ellison Bay for the Door County Land Trust.
